- Instead of drinking a glass of water all at once, drink sip by sip.
- Babies and young children who are prone to dehydration should not be given plain water, as it dilutes their already low levels of minerals, making the problem worse. They should be given diluted fruit juices or rehydration solutions.
- Instead of waiting until you feel thirsty, keep drinking water every now and then. Water-rich foods can also be included in the diet. Take special care of this in the winter season.
