Healthcare Department to Raise Swab Test

The health department will boost the swab sample set from the district as part of COVID-19 containment steps.

The district continues to be seeing a rise in COVID-19 instances for a previous couple of days and generally, 50 cases have been reported. Included in COVID-19 containment measures, the district health department will gradually raise the sample group and test around 3,500 persons every day.

Subramani, Deputy Director of Health Services, stated that there are approximately 5,000 beds in the district, such as those at COVID-19 Care Centres. Dr. Subramani reported that at present about 2,000 to 2,500 swab samples have been collected for tests and they’d be slowly improved to include the spread of this illness.

Besides personal facilities, Legislation is also being performed in about 200 government centers and generally, 6,000 individuals are vaccinated at the district per day. Officials stated there is a fantastic answer among the 45-plus people for vaccination.
